In particular, the following should be considered :
- Replace damaged or ineffective drift eliminators
- Screen the area above the pond to reduce the effects of windage, sunlight (promotes algal growth) and prevent the entry of birds, vermin, leaves etc.
- Screen open distribution systems to reduce the risk of contamination and unnecessary drift.
- Provide access for packing removal and cleaning.
- Fit drains at lowest point to allow the entire system to be conveniently and completely drained.
- Remove corrosion debris and refinish corroded surfaces
